Per 511, the flooding blocked the lane at 9:59 a.m., with county officials advising to use caution when driving in the area. County officials did not say when the lane would be reopened. The flooded lane comes on a morning where <a href="https://patch.com/new-york/northfork/flash-flooding-forecast-across-li-due-mondays-heavy-rain-nws" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Long Islanders have been warned of flash flood possibilities</a>, one where up to 3 inches of rain had fallen by 8:53 a.m.
