Freeport Man Arrested After Weapons, Over 10 Pounds of Marijuana Found in Home: Police
Officers also found growing supplies consisting of lamps, filtration supplies and plants believed to be marijuana, police say.

FREEPORT, NY - A Freeport man was after police found weapons and marijuana in his home on Tuesday night, according to Nassau County Police.
Police received a call to check on the well-being of an individual who was possibly in need of assistance.
Officers responded to a home at 230 Rutland Road and saw the man exit his home at 9:58 p.m. and walked himself into a County Ambulance, police said.

Both the man, identified as 30-year-old Keston Mayers, and the homeowner gave officers written consent to search the premise.
Police found a loaded Ruger handgun, two loaded magazines with ten rounds each, a box of ammunition, in excess of 10 pounds of a substance believed to be marijuana and growing supplies consisting of lamps, filtration supplies and plants also believed to be marijuana, police said.

Mayers, was arrested without incident at 10:10 p.m. and was transported to the Nassau University Medical Center where he was deemed fit.
He is charged with first degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.
He will be arraigned on Wednesday,
