The Garden City Hotel hosts Military Couple and Hundreds of Future Brides and Grooms at First-Ever Wedding Showcase

The Garden City Hotel hosted their first-ever Wedding Showcase where SFC Jose A. Maldonado and his fiancée Lisa Manning joined couples from all over Long Island to fully experience four incredible wedding themes staged in the Hotel’s legendary Grand Ballroom. The showcase provided newly engaged couples an opportunity to meet the most sought after wedding professionals and vendors in the industry.

Maldonado, who has served on missions overseas including Afghanistan, is a full time Readiness NCO with the 133rd out of Ft. Hamilton in Brooklyn, and Manning, a free-lance floral designer, are preparing for their upcoming wedding. During the event, Manning was able to get a close look at Vera Wang’s newest bridal collection, showcased by Garden City Hotel’s exclusive bridal gown partner, The Wedding Salon of Manhasset.

Couples experienced every aspect of their very special day at the showcase from live music, performed by both a band and DJ, to tasting themed craft cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, Champagne and deserts. Internationally acclaimed and award-winning Master Stylist of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, Zahir Ziani, was also on hand to test run bridal looks for the big day.

The landmark Garden City Hotel, first opened in 1874. As a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts’ luxury collection the hotel features 272 newly renovated guestrooms, including 16 suites. The Garden City Hotel has been a destination for business and leisure travelers, dignitaries and celebrities since its post-Civil War beginnings.
