Hempstead Town Honors Rockville Centre Police Officer

Town of Hempstead Supervisor Laura Gillen honored Rockville Centre Police Officer John Murphy for his outstanding work at the Police Service Awards Ceremony at Town Hall on Nov. 14.

Ryan was singled out by his department for his hard work and dedication to protecting the residents on Rockville Centre. Specifically, Murphy was recognized for his outstanding firearms and tactics instruction.

During training, Murphy stressed the importance of proper firearm tactics with the safety of the public and responding officers in mind, Rockville Centre Police Lt. Sal Mazza wrote in his nomination application.
