Homeless Man Charged in Nassau Bank Robbery
BREAKING: Police say he threatened to pull out a gun, although he never did.

A homeless man was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbing a bank in Rockville Centre.
According to police, Patrick G. Smith, 55, walked into the Capital One Bank at 77 Lincoln Ave. on Dec 2., approached the teller and demanded money, threatening the use of a gun. However, he never showed any firearm.
The teller gave the cash to Smith, police say, and then he fled on foot.

Smith is charged with third degree robbery and is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
