Homeless Man Robs Teen With Knife In Baldwin: Police
The incident happened Tuesday morning on Grand Avenue, police said.
BALDWIN, NY — A homeless man, who robbed a teenager in Baldwin, was placed in custody a short time later, police said.
It happened at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Wings Over Baldwin parking lot on Grand Avenue.
Elwin Wilfred, 52, approached a 14-year-old boy, with what appeared to be a knife, demanding money, police said.

The victim complied and called police as he ran away.
Wilfred was located and placed under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.

Wilfred is charged with three-degree robbery and endangering the welfare of a child. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
