PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Northwell Health critical care nurse Sandra Lindsay is a Presidental Medal of Freedom recipient.

The nurse was the first person in the country to get the COVID-19 vaccine in Dec. 2020.

"This is not something I dreamed of aspiring to achieve," she told Patch.
