Kasey's Owners Buy Huntington Restaurant

Honu in Huntington was purchased by Kasey's owners Anthony Geraci and Tom McNicholas Jr.

The owners of  are expanding, and it has nothing to do with the rooftop bar the Park Avenue eatery will showcase this summer.

Owners Anthony Geraci and Tom McNicholas Jr., along with John Mullen, purchased  in Huntington on Monday. The new owners, two experienced restaurateurs and a film producer, say they plan few changes in the New York Avenue restaurant.

"We're not changing things, maybe just polishing a little, do a little more catering and keep it as is," McNicholas said.

He and his restaurant partner Geraci and film producer John Mullen bought the place from John Rieger and John and David Tunney.

McNicholas and Geraci will continue to own and operate Kasey's Kitchen and Cocktails in Rockville Centre. "We dined out a lot in Huntington, and love Huntington," McNicholas said. "It fell in our lap that they might be selling the restaurant and we were obviously interested."

McNicholas said the new owners, operating as Five Cheers Group, believe that the renovation of the former IMAC Theater across the street from Honu will bring more patrons to the block and benefit their restaurant.

Honu Kitchen and Cocktails will retain its name, number of staff and will continue operating throughout the transition, with McNicholas saying that the restaurant's management team would stay in place.

McNicholas noted that if village residents are every dining in Huntington, stop by Honu Kitchen and Cocktails where, "you have an RVC friend."
