Kids Damage Car By Throwing Snow: Rockville Centre Police

Here are the incidents that the Rockville Centre Police Department reported for the week ending March 3.

Motor Vehicle Accident

On Feb. 28 at 2:17 a.m., a driver struck parking meters, a parking sign, a tree and a building on Sunrise Highway near Montauk Avenue.

Larceny

On Feb. 28 at 10:40 p.m., a Seaford resident reported that her pocketbook was stolen while she was at Molloy College, located at 1000 Hempstead Ave., Rockville Centre.

Criminal Mischief

On March 2 at 8:29 p.m., a driver reported that the windshield of her car was damaged by kids throwing snow from the walkbridge over Peninsula Boulevard. The investigation is ongoing.

Leaving the Scene

On March 2 at 10:13 a.m., a driver reported that her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked on Sunrise Highway.

Arrests

On Feb. 27 at 11:40 a.m., Christian Rivera, 40, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation during an investigation on Sunrise Highway as a result of the police department's License Plate Reader system.

On Feb. 28 at 11:07 a.m., Timothy J. Murnane, 64, of Kent Court, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he was observed operating a vehicle on Burtis Avenue.

On March 3 at 5:41 p.m., Jose Lopez, 51, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation during an investigation on Sunrise Highway as a result of the police department's License Plate Reader system.
