LAKEVIEW, NY. — One person was hospitalized after being injured in a Thursday afternoon shooting, police said. Nassau County police said they responded to a 911 call in the area around Owasco Road in Lakeview at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, discovering the shooting victim with what they called a "non-life threatening" injury. Police did not report any arrests or charges stemming from the shooting Thursday night, but said that an investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Police encouraged anyone with information regarding the shooting to call 911 or contact crime stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
