Long Island Woman Led Officers On 100 MPH Chase: State Police
Police say officers chased her for 20 miles before stopping due to fears of public safety. She was located later and arrested.

A Rockville Centre woman was arrested Monday after police say she led officers on a 20-mile-long chase in upstate New York.
According to police, just after 4 p.m. on Sept. 16, troopers tried to pull over a 2007 Hyundai Tucson for traveling at 92 mph in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 in the town of Watertown. Police say the driver, Siobhan G. Smith, 31, of Rockville Centre, refused to stop and continued driving, speeding up to 106 mph. Police stopped the chase due to public safety concerns.
Shortly later, a State Police Investigator located the car at a gas station in the town of Alexandria Bay, about 30 miles north of Watertown, police said. Smith was arrested at the scene.
