LI Woman Threw Rocks Through Door To Burglarize McDonald's: NCPD

Police say they found the woman watching officers respond to the alarm, and arrested her at the scene.

A Rockville Centre woman was arrested early Monday morning after police say she broke into a McDonald's in Lynbrook.

According to police, Lynbrook police officers and the Lynbrook Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the McDonald's at 12 Merrick Road. When they arrived, they found that someone had entered the restaurant after throwing rocks through the drive-through window and the front glass door.

Police investigated, which they say led them to Maria A. Campione, 19, of Merrick Road, who was standing nearby watching the police and firefighters respond to the alarm. When officers began to question her, police say she ran. Officers quickly caught up to her, police say, and placed her under arrest after a brief struggle.
