Lighting Up Holiday With Contest For RVC Residents

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — T'is the season for holiday lights and the Rockville Centre residents can get judged on the decorations.

The Second Annual RVC Holiday Lights is a drive-thru contest in the neighborhood.

Important dates for homeowners:

Dec. 6 is the last day to register your home.

Dec. 8 is the last day homeowners should have their decorations completed.

Dec. 10 and 11 you can get the list of homes to judge.

Winning homes will be announced on Dec. 15.

Homes will get judged in five categories:

Clark Griswold: The most over-the-top decorations

Martha Stewart: Designs that would make her jealous

Party of Lights: The brightest home

Best Block: Sign up the whole block

Family Friendly: Displays that engage the whole family

To enter, call the Recreation Center 516 678-9238 and go to rvcny.gov to vote until Dec. 12 at 8 p.m.
