Local Police Holding Drug Take-Back on Saturday

Anyone can come to dispose of old or unwanted medications with no questions asked.

The Rockville Centre Coalition for Youth will be sponsoring a Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday.

Many homes have prescription medications pile up in medicine cabinets and have no effective way to get rid of them. Drug take-backs are easy ways to make sure your old medications are disposed of properly.

It's especially important to get rid of any painkillers that you may still have. Many prescription painkillers use opiates, which can become a gateway to heroin use.
