Long Beach Library Pays Tribute To Black History Month
Among the events, is the National African American Read-In on Feb. 9.
LONG BEACH, NY — In celebration of February as Black History Month, the Long Beach Library is holding special events.
On Feb. 6, the library is offering the documentary "Is that Black Enough for You?"
Historian Elvis Mitchell traces the evolution and revolution of Black cinema.

Then on Feb. 9, the library host the annual National African American Read-In 2023. The hybrid event will feature books, stories and poetry written by Black authors from all over the world.
Children will also learn about Garrett Morgan, the inventor of the traffic signal.
