The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending Sept. 16.

Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident

  • On Sept. 14 at 3:19 a.m., a driver reported his vehicle was struck by a car that left the scene while he was driving on Lincoln Avenue.

  • On Sept. 11 at 5:31 p.m., a N. Village Avenue resident reported his briefcase was stolen from his car while it was parked in his driveway overnight.
  • On Sept. 12 at 10:46 a.m., a Fountain Avenue resident reported coins were stolen from two vehicles parked in her driveway overnight.
  • On Sept. 15 at 4:20 a.m., a Lakeview Avenue resident reported coins were stolen from his car while it was parked in his driveway overnight.

Arrests

  • On Sept. 9 at 11:32 a.m., police say Andrew Schnepf, 37, of Amityville, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument after an investigation on Sunrise Highway.
  • On Sept. 11 at 5:43 p.m., police say Shane A. Headley, 32, of Roosevelt, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic infractions after he was observed operating a stolen motorcycle on Sunrise Highway.
  • On Sept. 14 at 9:54 p.m., police say Edenilson Albert Paz-Hernandez, 38, of Port Washington, was arrested and charged with DWI, leaving the scene of an auto accident with injury and third-degree assault.
  • On Sept. 15 at 7:06 p.m., police say Carlyle Thompson, 24, of Old Mill Court, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with petty larceny, third-degree menacing, trespassing and second-degree harassment.
