BALDWIN, NY — A Manhattan man was arrested Thursday after police say he attacked an employee of a Baldwin pizzeria and stole items from the restaurant.

According to police, Ricardo Luckain, 29, of Bank Street, entered Gino's Pizzeria, at 919 Atlantic Ave., at 7:25 p.m. to confront one of the employees. Police say he began smashing multiple items in the pizzeria and threw a large metal container, which hit the employee. As Luckain was smashing items, a large piece of glass struck a second man, police said. Luckain then took two cell phones from the counter and fled.

Both of the victims received medical treatment from a Nassau County police medic at the scene.
