Man Attacked, Robbed Delivery Drivers: Nassau Police
Nassau police say Joseph Austin punched delivery drivers and stole their cash.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — A Baldwin man was arrested and charged with attacking and robbing multiple delivery drivers in Rockville Centre, Nassau County police said.
According to police, Joseph Austin, 26, of Kingston Avenue, robbed delivery drivers on three different occassions:
- On Jan. 19, a 45-year-old man delivering for Domino's on S. Centre Avenue was punched and had his money taken from his hand. Police say Austin fled with the cash and food.
- On Jan. 20, a 36-year-old man was delivering Chinese food on Osbourne Place when he was punched and had money taken from his hand.
- On Jan. 21, a 27-year-old man was delivering Chinese food on Liberty Avenue when cash was taken out of his car.
When detectives tried to arrest Austin at 3:10 a.m. on Jan. 23, police say he resisted and fought back.

Austin was charged with two counts of third-degree robbery, petty larceny and resisting arrest. He was arraigned on Jan. 23. A temporary order of protection was issued.
