Man Caught After Robbing Same Roosevelt Field Shop: Cops
David Wayne Thompson stole more than $7,000 worth of items from the Tory Burch store on several occasions this month, police say.

EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — An East Meadow man has been charged in connection to a robbery spree from one Roosevelt Field boutique.
David Wayne Thompson, 53, faces five counts of fourth-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of a criminal substance.
Thompson was spotted by police on Tuesday at 1:25 p.m. at the Tory Burch shop, where they were investigating previous robberies, authorities said.

He was seen concealing handbags into a blue bag that he was carrying, police said.
Thompson was arrested outside the store without incident.

He is accused of stealing items from the Tory Burch store on May 17 at 2:45 p.m. valued at $1,794, and at 3 p.m. on May 17 another $1,800 of merchandise.
On May 18, he swiped $2,400 worth of goods, while on May 22 he left without paying for items totaling $1,797, police said.
He also is charged with two Nassau County open warrants issued on February 1: A Petit Larceny in Oceanside from October and criminal possession of a controlled substance in Hempstead in January.
He was due to arraignment on May 24.
