Man Charged With Assault After Violating Protection Order: RVCPD

Larceny

On Oct. 17 at 9:36 a.m., a Canterbury Road resident reported cash was stolen from his car while it was parked in the driveway overnight.

On Oct. 18 at 9:16 a.m., a commuter reported her wallet was stolen from her parked car in a lot near Front Street while she was at work.

Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident

On Oct. 19 at 3:41 p.m., a shopper at a supermarket on Ocean Avenue reported his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked in the lot.

Arrests

On Oct. 19 at 1:04 a.m., Paul K. Hampton, 33, of Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault, first-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest after police say he violated an order of protection during a domestic incident on Sunrise Highway.
