Man Charged In String Of Nassau County Bank Robberies: Police
Willian Andrade Jordan faces multiple charges after police said he demanded money from several banks in early January.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Nassau County authorities have charged a man in connection with a series of bank robberies in Rockville Centre, Garden City and Westbury.
Willian Andrade Jordan, 31, is charged with two counts of third-degree robbery and three counts of attempted third-degree robbery after Nassau County police said he demanded money from multiple banks in early January.
According to detectives, on Jan. 3, Jordan went to Bank of America, located at 2300 Grand Avenue in Baldwin, where he approached a teller, passed a note that said he had a gun and a knife and demanded $3,000. Authorities said when the teller walked away from her station, Jordan fled without receiving any cash.

Jordan is also accused of robbing or attempting to rob the following banks:
- TD Bank, 855 Franklin Ave., Garden City on Jan. 3.
- Bank of America, 248 Post Ave., Westbury on Jan. 4.
- Webster Bank, 339 Merrick Rd., Rockville Centre on Jan. 6.
Authorities said Jordan was arrested on Feb. 10 at a home in the 100 block of South Long Beach Road in Freeport. He was taken into custody without incident, police said.

Jordan was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday.
