Man Drove Drunk With Teenage Stepson In Car: Nassau Police

Police say the man was speeding when he was pulled over.

A Lynbrook man was arrested early Sunday morning after police said he was pulled over for driving drunk and had a minor in the car with him.

According to police, Cesar Caraballo, 45, of Atlantic Avenue, was speeding on Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, and was pulled over by police. Police say that he had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, glassy eyes and slurred speech. Police say he also had his 15-year-old stepson in the car with him.

Police arrested Caraballo without incident. His stepson was released into the custody of his mother.

Caraballo is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra's Law), endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic law violations. he was arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.
