Man Fatally Shot in Baldwin

Police investigating homicide that occurred early Saturday morning.

A man found with a gunshot wound outside a Baldwin home early Saturday died from his injuries at the hospital, police said.

According to police, First Precinct officers responded to a Woodoak Drive home for a shots fired call and discovered a man with a single gunshot wound at about 12:50 a.m.

The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:25 a.m., police said.

Police believe the man was shot by someone he had been arguing with, Newsday reported. No arrests have been made.

Police are continuing to investigate and are requesting that anyone with information regarding the shooting contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
