Man High On Drugs Drove Into House: Nassau Police

Police arrived on the scene to find the car resting in the home's bushes. No one was injured.

Nassau police arrested a Seaford man after they say he was driving high and drove into a house in Oceanside.

According to police, officers responded to a crash on Hull Street at 12:20 a.m. Friday morning. When they arrived, there was a gray 2017 Nissan that had damaged the front of the house resting in the bushes. Police say the driver, Daniel Maltese, 30, of Niami Street, had glassy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. He was arrested without incident.

Maltese was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs as well as multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
