Man Hit Customer With Truck After Argument: Nassau Police

Police say the customer asked for a receipt after a delivery, which sparked the conflict.

A Lido Beach man was arrested on Tuesday after police say he got into an argument with a man and then hit him with his truck.

According to police, Eric Grossman, 53, of Lido Boulevard, was making a delivery to the home of a 45-year-old man in Rockville Centre at 1:45 p.m. The man asked for a receipt for the merchandise, and Grossman refused, and an argument started, police say. The argument escalated, and as Grossman was leaving, police say he hit the man with his truck, causing him to land on the hood. Grossman continued driving, police say, and the man fell off and suffered multiple injuries.

Police say Grossman fled the scene in his truck. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment. After an investigation, Grossman was placed under arrest without incident.
