Man Robbed in Rockville Centre

It happened early Saturday morning.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY – Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Rockville Centre early Saturday morning.

According to police, a 30-year-old man was on Merrick Road near Park Avenue when was approached by a man who then punched him oin the face and took his cellphone and wallet, which contained cash, credit cards and personal papers, police said.

The robber fled in a small two door dark colored vehicle eastbound on Merrick Road. The victim refused medical attention.
