Man Robs Oceanside Bank

The robbery occurred Friday afternoon, police say.

OCEANSIDE, NY- A man robbed a bank in Oceanside Friday afternoon, Nassau Police said.

According to police, the man entered the TD Bank, located at 247 Long Beach Road, approached the teller and produced a note demanding money at about 3:11 p.m. The teller complied and the man fled on foot northeast on Foxhurst Road with an undetermined amount of cash.

There were eight employees and one customer inside the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.

The robber was described as white, possibly Hispanic, 20-28 years old and 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a red star on the left chest, blue jeans and a dark scarf across his face.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
