Man Shot In Back In Critical Condition: Nassau Police
Police say the man was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound after a call came in for shots being fired.
LAKEVIEW, NY — A man is in critical condition after being shot in Lakeview early Monday morning, Nassau police said.
According to police, officers responded to Eagle Avenue and Hempstead Garden Drive at 6:50 a.m. for a call of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old man lying on Eagle Avenue with a single gunshot wound in his back.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his wounds. He is in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
