Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. At Long Island Swim School, we teach children to swim the same way the best in the world do. By using age-appropriate, proven techniques children build real skills in kick, pull, body position, and breath control. Our logical, consistent progression turns every fundamental—whether blowing bubbles or learning butterfly timing—into a building block for efficient, confident swimming. LAKEVIEW, NY — A man is in critical condition after being shot in Lakeview early Monday morning, Nassau police said. According to police, officers responded to Eagle Avenue and Hempstead Garden Drive at 6:50 a.m. for a call of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old man lying on Eagle Avenue with a single gunshot wound in his back. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his wounds. He is in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1 800 – 244 – TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.

Man In Shot In Back In Critical Condition

Police say the man was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound after a call came in for shots being fired.
