OCEANSIDE, NY — A Hempstead man was killed early Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle, police said. The victim was crossing Merrick Road at Oceanside Road when a 2020 Honda Accord just after 2 a.m. The victim, identified by police as Adrian Wilburne, 53, suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police Medic. The male driver remained at the scene, authorities said. Police are investigating.
