Man Tried To Lure Girl To Him, Then Threatened Her With Gun
Police say the man had a gun and knife on him when he tried to convince a 10-year-old girl to follow him.

Nassau police are looking for a man who tried to lure a 10-year-old girl into leaving with him, and then threatened her with a gun when she didn't.
According to police, the girl was walking to her bus stop on North Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre at 8:30 a.m. on April 10 when she was approached by the man. The man tried to convince her to leave with him on foot. The girl refused, and the man then menacingly showed her a gun and knife he had in his waistband.
The girl ran to a group of parents and students standing at the bus stop, and the man fled the area on foot.

Police say the man has also been seen near the Francis F. Wilson Elementary School in Rockville Centre. A composite sketch of the man is above.
