Man Tries to Rob Nassau County Bank
The attempted robbery occurred Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A man attempted to rob bank in Franklin Square on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the man entered the TD Bank located at 690 Hempstead Turnpike shortly after 3 p.m., approached a teller and verbally demanded money.
He left the bank empty-handed, though, and fled with the scene on foot with no proceeds northbound on Carl Avenue, police said.

The man was wearing tan pants, an overcoat, a Christmas hat with a visor and a scarf partially covering his face, police said.
There were nine employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
