Man Under Influence Crashes Into Pole With Children In Vehicle: Police
Anthony Bolasingh faces charges in connection to the Tuesday evening crash, police say.

BALDWIN, NY — A Roosevelt man was taken into custody on Tuesday night for an accident involving the Leandra's Law, police said.
Anthony Bolasingh was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Baldwin under Leandra's Law with two young children in the vehicle, detectives said.
Bolasingh drove his 1999 BMV in the vicinity of Forest Avenue and Centennial Avenue into a Toyota Prius and then struck a pole, police said.

Bolasingh was placed in custody without incident.
A female passenger, 31, was injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment. The children in the car, ages nine and 10, were not hurt in the accident.

Bolasingh, who also faces counts of endangering the welfare of a child, was expected to be arraigned on Wednesday, according to police.
