Masked Man Opened Nassau Gas Station Register, Fled With Cash
Police are searching for the man, who was thwarted in his robbery when the employee in the store pushed him away.

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station in Baldwin on Monday night.
According to police, the robber entered the BP Gas Station at 969 Atlantic Ave. at 9:26 p.m. He then reached over the counter, opened the register and started to grab cash. The attendant in the store pushed his hands away from the register, and then the robber ran out of the store and fled west.
Police say the robber was a white man, about 40 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 150 pounds with curly black hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black mask, black jeans and blue latex gloves.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
