Merrick Students To Take Part Charity Event For Valentine's Day
Levy Lakeside Elementary students will create sandwiches that will be donated to those in need of food.

MERRICK, NY — Students at one local school are using Valentine's Day to spread some love to the less fortunate.
Sixth graders at Norman J. Levy Lakeside Elementary School will be making sandwiches. The cold cuts will then be distributed by The River Fund, a frontline poverty center that connects and donates to people with food insecurity.
The Merrick students will work on the sandwiches during Valentine's Day morning at the school.
