Motorcyclist Left In Critical Condition After Crash: PD
A motorcyclist is in critical condition this week after he crashed his bike into a Toyota that was making a left turn, police say.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — A 23-year-old man is in critical condition this week after he crashed his Kawasaki motorcycle into a Toyota Corolla on Front Street in Hempstead, police said.
Nassau County police didn’t identify the motorcyclist, but said that the crash took place at 8:29 p.m. Saturday. According to police, the biker was riding a 2007 black Kawasaki, traveling westbound on Front Street when the 27-year-old man driving the Corolla started to make a left turn from Courtenay Road onto Front Street. As he made the turn, the motorcycle struck the Corolla, causing “serious injuries” to the 23-year-old on the bike, police said.
The driver of the Corolla stayed at the scene while the 23-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition, police said.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said. No arrests or charges have been reported stemming from the crash.
