Murray, Unopposed, Wins Another Term As Rockville Centre Mayor

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Mayor Francis Murray ran unopposed in the general election on June 20.

Murray was first elected as mayor in 2011. His father Eugene Murray served in the same role from 1987-2007.

The junior Murray received 590 votes, according to unofficial results from the spokesperson for the village. The lifelong resident of Rockville Centre was born at Mercy Hospital in 1951.

Trustees Kathleen Baxley (611 votes) and Gregory Shaughnessy (559) won another term, while Village Justice William Croutier (610) ran unopposed.

Each position comes with a four-year term.
