Nanny Burned 2-Year-Old Nassau Boy With Curling Iron: Police
BREAKING: The woman was arrested after the boy's parents found burns on their child, police say.

A Harlem woman was arrested on Thursday night and charged with assault after police say she used a curling iron to burn a 2-year-old boy whom she was babysitting.
According to detectives, the mother of the boy was bathing her son in their Baldwin home when the child yelled out in pain as she touched his left hand. The mother noticed that the hand was red and the boy was in a lot of pain. When asked what happened, the boy replied the nanny burned him with an iron, police said.
The mother reviewed a home security camera video from earlier that day that showed the nanny with a red curling iron and touching the iron to the hand and leg of the child, police said. The parents immediately called police. On Thursday at 10:40 p.m., Nosipho Nxumalo, 21, of Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem, was placed under arrest without incident, police said.
