Nassau County Entrepreneur Receives Platinum Award from Unishippers Global Logistics

Unishippers Global Logistics, LLC, the nation’s first and largest 3PLs, announced that Chris Cadigan, franchise owner of Unishippers in Nassau County was recognized with the Platinum Award at the company’s annual convention.

The U9 award winners are determined by a ranking of their performance in several areas including growth in new customers and increase in total customers over 2014. Winning franchisees excelled at delivering savings and great customer service to small and mid-sized businesses for all of their shipping needs, ultimately leading to increased new customer acquisition and revenue.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Cadigan has received the Platinum award since opening a Unishippers franchise in 2009. Prior to joining Unishippers, Cadigan spent 15 years in sales before he was abruptly laid off, ending his corporate career as a Regional Sales Director at DHL. Investing in Unishippers allowed Cadigan to remain in the industry and the chance to work for himself.

Eight awards — four Platinum awards and four Gold awards — were given to franchisees that showed the greatest growth over last year in their respective territory sizes, while one Rookie award was presented to the top performing new franchise owner for a total of nine awards. There are four categories within the Platinum and Gold awards that are based on territory size.
