Nassau Liquor Store Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

It was the coldest night of the year, but that didn't stop one man from holding up the store and stealing cash and liquor.

Nassau police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who robbed a liquor store in Baldwin Thursday night.

According to police, the man entered Lange's LIquors, located at 1336 Grand Ave., just after 7:15 p.m. He pointed a silver handgun at the store's owner and told him to fill up a white plastic bag with money from the register. After he got the bag of cash, the man told the owner to give him four bottles of Hennessey from behind the counter.

The robber then fled, and was last seen heading south on Grand Avenue. Police say surveillance video shows the man was driving a newer model dark-colored minivan.
