Nassau Man Broke Into Cars, Used Credit Cards He Stole: Police

Police say he used the stolen cards in multiple locations.

A Baldwin man was arrested on Wednesday after police say he broke into and robbed multiple cars.

According to police, a wallet was stolen from a car on Clifford Court in Baldwin on July 3. Police say credit cards from the wallet were used at various businesses. After an investigation, police located and arrested David Webster, 26, of Seaman Avenue, on Wednesday.

Police say that while they were searching Webster, they found prescription pills and cash that were stolen from a car on Allen Place at 7:45 a.m. on July 4.

Webster is charged with three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, petty larceny, seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree identity theft. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
