Nassau Man Brutally Beaten, Robbed In Front Of His Home

Police say the man was severely beaten after he refused to open his front door to four unknown men, two of whom were armed.

A Lakeview man was beaten and robbed in front of his home Monday night by a gang of four men, and police are seeking the public's help to identify them.

According to police, the four men approached a 32-year-old man in front of his home on Mahopac Road just before 10:30 p.m. and demand he open his front door. The man refused, and one of the attackers struck him in the face with a silver handgun. Then a second attacker struck him in the face with a black handgun while the third and fourth attackers punched and kicked him.

When he was down, one of the attackers reached into his pocket and stole his money. The four then fled north on Mahopac Road in a black Dodge Durango and a black Chevy Camaro.
