Nassau Man Burglarized 16 Businesses: Police

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Nassau County police arrested an Oceanside man this week and charged him with more than a dozen burglaries that go back to last year.

According to police, an extensive investigation led detectives to Priestly Green, 37, of Benjamin Road, who they say is responsible for 16 burglaries throughout the county. Priestly was located in the Bronx at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday and arrested without incident.

Police say Priestly is responsible for the following burglaries:

• Oct. 1, 2019: El Conquistador, 221 Greenwich St., Hempstead
• Jan. 13, 2020: Asian Gourmet Express, 2376 Grand Ave., Baldwin
• Jan. 13, 2020: Grand Avenue Deli, 2380 Grand Ave., Baldwin
• Jan. 13, 2020: Brat Shack Party Supply, 830 Merrick Road, Baldwin
• Jan. 13, 2020: Bread Outlet Store, 757A Foxhurst Road, Baldwin
• Jan. 13, 2020: Xpress Smart Smoke Shop, 759 Foxhurst Road, Baldwin
• Jan. 13, 2020: El Mofongo, 684 Fulton Ave., Hempstead
• Jan. 13, 2020: Magic Car Wash, 182 Henry St., Hempstead
• Jan. 13, 2020: Perlas Restaurant, 140 Front St., Hempstead
• Jan. 13, 2020: El Tucanoso, 5 Front St., Hempstead
• Jan. 19, 2020: BP Gas Station, 969 Atlantic Ave., Baldwin
• Jan. 22, 2020: Quick Stop Inc., 1947 Grand Ave., Baldwin
• Jan. 22, 2020: The Pit Stop Automotive, 1210 Grand Ave., Baldwin
• Jan. 22, 2020: Spices Negril, 1082 Grand Avenue South, Hempstead
• Feb. 4, 2020: Venturi Automotive, 1985 Grand Ave., Baldwin
• March 9, 2020: M&G Beverage, 75 North Main St., Freeport

Green is charged with 16 counts of third-degree burglary, seven counts of third-degree criminal mischief, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny and two counts of petty larceny. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hemsptead today.
