Nassau Man Robbed At Gunpoint By Men In Truck

The truck stopped and two men got out just to commit the robbery, police say. Then they drove away.

A man claims he was robbed at gunpoint while walking down the street in Baldwin by men who jumped out of a truck just to steal from him.

According to police, the victim walked into the First Precinct station house Saturday night. He said he was walking on Sunrise Highway near Grand Avenue at 7:50 p.m. when a black Dodge Ram pickup truck pulled up in front of him. Two men got out and approached him, while a third stayed in the truck. One of the men pulled a gun on the victim while the second went through his pockets, taking his wallet. Both men then got back into the truck, which fled eastbound on Sunrise Highway.

Detectives ask anyone with information about this robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
