Nassau Man Was Firing Guns Near His House: Police
Police say he was firing an illegal rifle across the street form his home.

OCEANSIDE, NY — An Oceanside man was arrested Monday after police say he was recklessly firing guns on his property.
According to police, officers responded to a call of shots fired at a home on 2nd Street just after 11 a.m. When they arrived, police say they found Thomas R. Zoeller, 57, standing in his driveway. After an investigation, police say it was determined that Zoeller was firing a .22 caliber rifle and a BB gun across the street from his home.
Zoeller was arrested without incident. No one was injured.

Zoeller was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead and released without bail.
