Nassau Police Make Arrest For 2017 Bank Robbery

Police have been investigating the robbery for nearly a year.

On Wednesday, Nassau County police arrested a man from Baldwin and charged him with robbing a bank in Roosevelt last year.

According to police, on May 9, 2017, Gordon Delva, 28, of Darling Street, Baldwin, entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union at 405 Nassau Road in Roosevelt. Police say Delva passed a note to the teller demanding money, then took the cash and fled.

Delva was charged with third-degree robbery. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
