The gun was reported stolen in Florida a decade ago.

A routine traffic stop in Lakeview Tuesday evening led to the recovery of a stolen gun and the arrest of the man in possession of it, police say.

According to police, officers conducted a traffic stop on Woodfield Road in Lakeview at 6:15 p.m. Police say that an investigation showed the driver, Terrell Fraiser, 38, of Carol Street, Lakeview, was driving with a suspended license, and officers placed him under arrest. Inside the car, police say they found a loaded .44 magnum Colt Anaconda revolver and a container with concentrated cannabis. Fraiser is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and vehicle and traffic law violations.
