Nassau Teen Charged With Multiple Robberies

Police say the teen arranged online purchases from people, and then robbed them when they showed up.

A 16-year-old Lakeview boy was arrested by police on Thursday and charged with four robberies that happened over the last two months in multiple areas of Nassau County.

According to police, the teen arranged purchases on Facebook Long Island Buy and Facebook Market Place, and then arrange to meet at a location. When the teen and the victim were there, he would steal the item and threaten to use a gun, police said. In one robbery, police said he pulled out a black handgun.

The robberies took place in Lakeview, Rockville Centre and Roosevelt between Jan. 6 and Feb. 25, police said.
