Nassau Woman Arrested After Being Caught Mid-Burglary: Police
Police say the homeowner heard her break in and she fled. Officers later found her hiding in bushes.

Nassau police arrested a Roosevelt woman early Thursday morning after police say she was found hiding in bushes following a botched burglary.
According to police, a 33-year-old man was inside his home on Cramer Court in Baldwin when he heard noises coming from the garage. He went to inspect the area and found the attached garage door ajar and a person wearing all black standing in the hallway. The burglar, who police identified as Lillian Jackson, 50, of Washington Avenue, fled the home.
Officers arrived on the scene and started to search. Police say they found Jackson hiding between two bushes on Linkwood Drive. The officers spoke to her, and said that Jackson didn't give them any ID and gave them a fake name. When police determined her identity, they placed her under arrest. Two sets of car keys and an iPod were found in her pockets, which police say were stolen from the house.
