
The next stop on our terminal of Rockville Centre destinations is a bit more on the exotic side. on 3-A Park Ave. is a family-friendly sitdown eatery by day, and one of RVC's most popular hot spots by night.
Offering bar-friendly Mexican cuisine, Cabo serves up tradtional favorites like quesadillas, burritos, chimichangas and enchiladas. The homemade salsa that comes with the chips (the Mexican bread and butter) is particularly tasty.
The fun part is picking out which Margarita to try. The list is extensive, offering the original Margarita, frozen or on the rocks (in three different sizes), to colorful concoctions like the Cabo Blue Margarita or the Raspberry Passion Fruit. I went with the Island Breeze — a fruitful blend of mango and melon. Take heed, however, one of these cocktails goes for $11!

The restaurant's layout is fun and modern complete with a mosaic tile structure in the center, suggesting a vibrant scene especially for the young night dwellers. On a chilly night in February, this 'discoteca' offers a quick escape to the sights and sounds of Mexico's beaches.
On weekend nights, the DJ plays today's most popular dance hits, and Tuesday night is karaoke night. The doorman, who won't hesitate to enforce a trendy dress code, prefers a 25 for guys, 23 for girls age limit, but anyone with a valid 21+ ID is allowed in to eat after 9 p.m.
