Oceanside 7-Eleven Property Sells For $7.74 Million
A 7-Eleven in Oceanside sold for just shy of $8 million this week, a representative for the buyer says.
OCEANSIDE, NY — A 7-eleven that's set to open in August sold for $7.74 million this week, a representative for the buyers told Patch Tuesday.
According to North Village Realty’s Tom Bigansky, the buyers are Bay Ridge Realty LLC, which state records show is headquartered in King’s County.
Formerly a Cumberland Farms, 7-Eleven has a 20-year lease on the property that is scheduled to begin in August, Bigansky said. As for when the 7-Eleven will officially open, Bigansky said the exact date could move back.

Bigansky said the purchase comes as the convenience store giant looks to expand its footprint in the gas station industry after its parent company bought Speedway.
As for the Oceanside store, Bigansky said part of why it may have been so attractive to the buyer was its location on a well-traveled stretch of Long Beach Road south of Sunrise Highway that sees plenty of traffic from people in Island Park, Long Beach, Oceanside and Rockville Centre.

“If you're from that area, if you’ve ever been to that area, it's a very prominent corner,” Bigansky told Patch. “It’s over an acre of property, so it has, you know, a lot of potential long-term. God forbid, even if 7-Eleven leaves, it's not like you're buying a 7-Eleven on a 10,000-square-foot lot. It’s a 4,788 square-foot-building.”
The property, Bigansky said, also carries a footprint that is hard to find elsewhere.
“The lot size is almost 1.2 acres,” Bigansky said. “When are you going to find another corner like that over an acre in South Nassau?”
